weekend, we’re taking a trip back to a time when bell bottoms, lava lamps, and vinyl ruled the day. I’m grateful and excited to share that RichJams will be part of the Stationhead Peace, Love & the 70s Marathon – happening across three days of nonstop grooves, good vibes, and community spirit. Catch my set Saturday at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT.
Don’t worry, 90s fans — the 90s Vibes Countdown will return next Saturday at its usual time. But this weekend, it’s all about celebrating the golden decade that gave us music filled with soul, hope, and love.
Why the 70s?
The 70s were more than just a decade of iconic style — it was a period when artists used their voices to spread messages of peace, unity, and compassion. Coming out of the turbulence of the 60s, music in the 70s carried that torch forward, weaving activism and tenderness into melodies that still resonate today. Whether it was James Taylor encouraging us to “Shower the People” with love, Sam Cooke reminding us of faith and hope with “Peace in the Valley,” or The O’Jays taking us around the world on a “Love Train,” the songs weren’t just hits — they were statements.
A Marathon of Music & Meaning
That’s what makes this marathon special: it’s not only a celebration of 70s soundtracks but of the spirit behind them. For three days, DJs and music lovers on Stationhead will come together to spin the songs that defined a generation — and continue to inspire ours.
I’m honored to bring my flavor to the mix and be part of a lineup that keeps the energy of love and peace alive. These songs remind us that music can heal, connect, and move us toward something greater.
So set your reminders, grab your tie-dye, and join the journey. Tune in Saturday at 2 PM ET / 11 AM PT for my set, and let’s ride the wave of peace and love together.
